FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE BRITAIN TO RAISE £3,000,000 Details of the British effort lo raise £3,000,000 to rescue Jews from Germany will be announced at the Mansion House, London, on 9th December. Lord Bearated, the Rothschild family, and Mr Simon Marks have each given £50,000. One hundred and three refugees, mostly women and children from Sudeteuiund, have armed in London to join their relatives. M. Solomon Grumlmch, a member of the French Socialist Party i»j the Chamber of Deputies and an expert on foreign affairs, declared that deaths of Jews in Germany resulting from brutal acts run into hundreds, probably thousands. The world would he petrified with horror if secret reports were sent out of Germany by foreign Consular and diplomatic agents for publication. The vice-chairman’s committee, set up after the Evian Conference on re- J fugees from Germany, representing Britain, the United States, France, Hoi- j land and Brazil, will meet on Friday ; at the Foreign Office. ALL DAY CURFEW ORDERED JEWS IN GERMANY (Received 30th November, 10.25 a.m.) BERLIN, 29th November. ! An all day curfew for Jews has been ordered on 3rd December, "a day of national solidarity,” when a public collection will be taken up for winter relief. The Schwarze Corps says that on 31st December the last Jewish shop will be closed and the last Jew in German economic life will disappear.
