The Vienna correspondent of “The Times’’ save that Herr Hitler arrived secretly there on 26th November to discuss the release of Dr. von Schuschnigg who is understood to have been offered freedom for himself and his wife and son to leave, the country, hut that he refused unless a number of his former associates are granted an amnesty. The correspondent adds that it is learn e.l from a most trustworthy source that an extensive purge of local Nazis, in which 135 were recently shot, has taken place.
