JUDGES With regard to the appointment of judges, the. chairman stated that Mrs lan Cameron, Masterton, had signified her willingness to judge the dancing events and that Mr J. J. McFarlane, Blenheim, would adjudicate ir. respect to the piping CHAMPIONSHIPS ALLOCATED Information was received from the Wellington centre of the Piping and Dancing Association of New Zealand that Motueka had been allocated three championships—slow march playing, South Island Championship ; Highland Reel. N.Z. Championship; and Irish Jig, South • Island Championship. 1 After due consideration of the quesI tion it was decided that only a one-day gathering be. organised by' the Society Oil this occasion and that no function be hold at Kaiteriteri, as in the two pre.
