RICHMOND BOROUGH COUNCIL jVOTICE is hereby given that the * Richmond Borough Council at its meeting to be held on 13th December, 1938, proposes to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of the sum of £SOOO for the purpose of extending the water supply reticulation within the Borough. As security for the payment of interest and repayment of the said sum it is proposed to make and levy a Special Rate of one-farthing in the pound on the capital value of the whole of the rateable property within the Borough of Richmond. In addition to the borrowing of the above-mentioned sum it is further proposed to enter into arrangement with the Nelson City Council for a supply of 200,000 gallons of water per day from the Roding River Water Supply Scheme for which annual charges will be payable estimated to amount to £756 per annum. Any person having any objection to the above proposals is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Richmond Borough Council not later than the day preceding the said meeting.
