NELSON DEFEAT MARLBOROUGH AN INNINGS WIN The Nelson College 2nd XI paid a j visit to Blenheim during the week-end, ! and defeated the Marlborough College Ist XI by an innings and 19 runs. Batting first Nelson College scored 160 runs, of which Ching contributed an unbeaten 59, including 9 fours, and Scholfield made 31. Marlborough made 71 runs, Hammond being top scorer with 23; and followed on making 70, Gibson, 31. Heaps in the first innings was responsible for an excellent bowling performance, taking seven wickets for 18 runs off seven overs; and in the second innings Kennedy took four wickets for 5 runs off 1] overs.
