OUR CHRISTMAS COMPETITIONS

FOR ALL WONDERLAND MEMBERS T hese competitions are open to all members of the Wonderland Club, including boys and girls who join up to the closing day. Each entry must be the original and unaided work of the competitor, and must not have been previously published. All drawings and sketches submitted should be in Indian Ink and where possible on Bristol Board. Stories, poems and letters must be written on one side of the paper only, and when possible, in ink. Members may enter for more than one class, but only one prize can be won by any one member. Each entry must be accompanied by the member’s name, age and address,-and must reach Alice at “The Mail” Office by Saturday, 3rd December, 1938. Results of the competitions will be announced in the Wonderland Club’s Christmas Page on 17th December, when the prize-winning entries will be published. A Letter to Alice FOR BOYS AND GIRLS, 10 YEARS OLD AND UNDER A letter to Alice saying what you like to do best of all at Christmas time. Ist and 2nd Prizes. 3 Special Prizes from Alice. Mr Printerman's Puzzle Eight Wonderland members met for a picnic. Only seven of them would give their names, but the name of the eighth is bidden in the first seven—the first letter in the first name, the second letter in the second name, and so on. Something To Grin About T he Cheshire Gat wanted to have a good laugh at Christmas time, so be is offering a prize for the best joke sent in by any member of the Wonderland Club. My School Mr Travel Man likes girls and boys to take an interest in their schools, so be is offering a prize for the best short essay on “My School.” The competition is open to a|) W on-l -rland members. Blue Peter's Prize Blue Peter is giving a prize for the neatest writing in any of these competitions. NOTE: The special prizes donated hy Mr Editor, W hite Rabbit and Alice, are to he awarded to members other than prize-winners, who have not previously won a prize.
