The Head of the River champion frights was won for the second year in succession by the Sydney Church ot England Grammar School (North Shore). Sydney High School was second and Newington College third. The

winning margin was three-quarters of a length, with five lengths between second and third. Time. 8.26 1-10. The first fours was won by Sydney High School, who were hotly challenged by the North Shore crew'. The latter were defeated by only a quarter of a length. Scots College were third. The second fours was won by St. Joseph’s, who beat Sydney High School by one length and a quarter. North Shore, the same distance away, were third.
