CAR ACCIDENT NEAR GEELONG
GLADYS MONCRIEFF INJURED [United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copy right 1 MELBOURNE, 29th March. The Australian singer, Gladys Moncrieff, and her manager, Mr W. Iredale, were seriously injured to-day in a car accident near Geelong, when on a trip from Adelaide to Melbourne. The car collided with an electric light pole. Miss Moncrieff received a fractured leg, a compound fracture of the left arm, an injury to the neck, and shock. Mr Iredale fractured a leg and his nose, and received lacerations. Miss Moncrieff had just completed a broadcasting and concert tour in Adelaide.
