THE WAIMEA CLUB ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The annual general meeting of the Waimea Football Club was held in the schoolroom. Richmond. Mr R. O’Connor presided over an attendance of about 50 players and supporters. The annual report and financial statement were read and adopted, as were the Accident Insurance Fund and MacDonald Trust Account statements. Mr E. J. The seniors played Rivals at the commencement of the season while the juniors played Rival juniors. Later in the season the juniors travelled to Blenheim and played Marlborough Old Boys A as a curtain raiser to the MarlboroughWest Coast Seddon Shield game. Old Boys had no difficulty in maintaining their unbeaten record. The annual fixture. Waimea-Waitohi. was played on the local ground. The Waitohi team was entertained at afternoon tea in the Fire Brigade HaH after the game and at a dance at Lansdowne Hall in the evening. The juniors also played Moutere on the Moutere ground as a wind-up to the season. This match was of the Kaka Shield variety and was I played under international rules. Financial: The committee began the season with a credit of £3 15* 4d and finished with a balance of £2 12s. MacDonald, a local sportsman, donated £2O to the club. This money is to be kept separate from the general 1 fund and has been named the “Waimea Football Club MacDonald Trust Account.” Messrs H.
