For a summer health camp this constitutes a remarkable record. Over 220 children from all parts of Canterbury and West Coast passed through the ramp Carefully kept statistics show that each child gained from 2 to 6lbs in weight, and several instances were noted of children gaining from a quarter to one inch in height! The average cost per child per week was 11* Bd. and 18.555 meals were served during the four months.
