House, at the age of 80 years. Colonel Edward House was an American diplomat, and was confidential ad-j viser of President Wilson. DAUGHTER OF MAJOR VON TEMPSKY The death has occurred of Mrs Lina j Kettle, wife of Mr N. Kettle, in her ' 78th year. The deceased lady was the I only daughter of the late Major Von ! Tempsky, of Maori War fame. RT. REV. J. TAYLOR SMITH (Received 29th March, 12.7 p.m.) j LONDON. 28th March. 1 The death has occurred of Bishop | Taylor Smith, due to heart failure, j aboard the Orion. He will be buried | at sea to-night. The Rt. Rev. John Taylor Smith was Bishop of Sierra Leone 1897-1901.
