A German seaplane piloted by Herr von Engel and three companions and equipped with wireless and two days’ r rations, was released at 7 p.m. from the scaplanc-carricr Westfalen in Start Bay. Devon, to attempt a record flight to Buenos Aires, a distance of 6000 miles. Herr Martin Hellwig. superintendent of German Airway Lines, says the j flight is being made to gain experi- j ; ence in long-range flying in the North j Atlantic.
