CHRISTCHURCH MARKET [Special to “The Mail”] CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The Park Davis Trading Co Ltd reports:— A limited quantity of Gravensteins have been coming forward, it yet being too early to expect much colour However, these lines have realised from 6s (»d to 9s 6d according to colour and size, and we expect that as soon as any better coloured lines arrive, they will command higher prices. Early season’s cookers are realising 5s 6d to 6s fid Tomato prices for Christchurch locally grown hothouse tomatoes are at present 6d to 7!d per lb and although no Nelson tomatoes have reached our market during the last week, we anticipate their value for coloured lines would be 7s to 9s.
