MAGAZINE FOR MUNITIONS DEAD LIKELY TO NUMBER HUNDREDS [United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] i Received January, 9.0 a.m.) LONDON, 12th January. "The Times” says that news received in London from a trustworthy source states that the mysterious Madrid explosion occurred in the Madrid underground railway, part of which was being used as a magazine for munitions. Train services on the unaffected part of the system are being maintained. The dimensions of the explosion are such that the dead are likely to number some hundreds, but a severe censorship prevents details being sent. A later message says that the centre of the explosion was the station, and that it occurred just as a train entered. A message published yesterday stated: Mystery surrounds reports from Valencia of a terrific explosion at Madhouses and killed 100. MOORS FOR THE TERUEL FRONT GIBRALTAR, 12th January. The Spanish Press* Agency states that 350 Mo%rs landed at Algeciras yesterday from Ceuta and entrained for the Teruel front.
