James Johnson, promoter, has revealed that he is negotiating with ' Budge, the tennis player, now in Ausj tralia, to turn professional. He said he had cabled an offer to Budge and had received the following reply:--“Offer sounds good: I would like to hear more on my return to the United States on 3rd March.” Mr Johnston refused to divulge the nature of the offer. |
