GENEVA, 19th December.

Italian officials remaining with the League of Nations were summoned to a meeting at the Italian Consulate and were asked to resign. Although they were told there would be no pressure against them, it was hinted that they ‘‘would have to take the consequences” if they stayed. The Italian Government has notified the International Institute of Educational Cinematography, formed under the auspices of the League, that it must close on Ist January.

The employees have been given notice. The headquarters of the InstiXjVtute was established in- Rome at Italy’s special request.
