ANIMATED COMPETITION [United Press Association—B.v Liectrio Telegraph —Copyright] SYDNEY, 16th December. At the w'ool sales 10,368 bales were offered, 9360 sold, and 1108 privately. At the closing auctions for the halfyear to-day, the competition was animated, with Japan providing good support. The market ruled in sellers’ favour for the best description. Greasy merino made to 283 d. which is a record on the Sydney market this season.
