FALL IN PASSENGER REVENUE [United Prees Association—By Electric Telegraph— Copyright) (Received 16th December, 11.35 a.m.) LONDON, 15th December Addressing the annual meeting of th ? Orient Company, Mr Alan Anderson said when the world returns to sanity and buys Australian butter, fruit, and meat instead of guns, the demand for settlers will revive. He hoped the Commonwealth would realise how cheaply migrants were carried. The Orient Company's revenue from passengers -was only two-thirds of that in 1938. They had hoped for a record Coronation traffic, but at the last moment lost those who represent the margin ot profit Apparently they were deterred by reports of overcrowding m London and war scares in the Medii terrancan.
