EQUALLY AND CHANGEABLE The weather is predicted to be squally and changeable, with intermittent rain; temperatures becoming cold. The country received a good soaking when heavy rain set in yesterday afternoon and continued throughout the night, 82 points being recorded at the Cawthron Institute and 57 points at Redwood's Valley. A total of five hours sunshine was recorded yesterday. Today was still overcast, but the barometer had risen and the sun broke through in the afternoon.
