CITY COUNCIL’S CONGRATULATIONS TO FLYING OFFICER CLOUSTON Tiie record breaking flight of FlyingOfficer Clouston from England to Capetown was the subject of reference at last night’s meeting of the City Council, when it was decided ot cable the council’s congratulations. The Mayor (Mr G. L. Page) said it was pleasing to learn of Flying-Officer Clouston’s fine achievement in flying from England to Capetown in the record breaking time of 45hrs 4min. It was a great performance and one of which the people ot the Nelson province would be proud. On the motion of the Mayor and Councillor E. R. Neale it was decided to cable the council’s congratulations to the former Nelsonian.
