Attracting considerable attention at Auckland b.v their fine bearing and smart uniforms, a party of Javanese cavalrymen serving with the Netherlands East Indies forces, are passengers on the South Pacific Line motorship Mactsuyckcr. which arrived at Auckland from the East. The cavalrymen are on their way to Brisbane, where the Maetsuycker will load 100 remounts, which are being selected by, officers from Java at present in Australia.
