OBITUARY
INK ALTON T. W. HUNT The death occurred at Nelson last week of Mr Alton 1\ VV. Hunt, after a short illness. The eldest son ot the late Mr Thomas Hunt and of Mrs Hunt. Grove street, he went with his father as a boy to "Highfield,” 8H Valley. Wakefield, where he spent most of his life -n farming. About 20 years ago he and his two brothers, Messrs Kenneth and Thomas Hunt took over the estate from their fatner. and carried on in partnership as successful breeders 1 1 Romney Marsh sheep, under the name of T Hunt and Sons. The late Mr Alton Hunt was of a quiet and retiring disposition, and was highly respected in the district. Fifteen years ago he married Miss Gladys Varnham. the only daughter of Mr .lehr, and the late Mrs Varnham. of Wellington, who with lvo children are left to mourn their loss.
