CLOUDY WITH RAIN PROBABLE The forecast is for cloudy to overcast weather with rain probable, and becoming colder. A hot day was experienced in Nelson yesterday, as indicated by the maximum temperature of 71.8 degrees, while at the Research Orchard a maximum of 70.2 degrees was recorded. The sun shone for 10 hours 50 minutes. The weather to-day was hazy but warm, with a light breeze from the north-east. The barometer had fallen to 29.71. The sky became overcast in the afternoon.
