SUBSIDY OX DUNTAB CLINIC DONATIONS APPOINTMENT OF TEACHERS The Nelson Education Board's monthly meeting was concluded yesterday afternoon. The Education Department advised that the subsidy on contributions towards the cost of erecting dental clinics had been restored on the basis of £2 for £l. The Auckland Point committee applied for a special grant towards incidental expenses. The matter was held over until the next meeting. The New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association advised of the programme for the "Lcarn-to-Swim” Week in December. The Nelson Central School committee advised of the annual Parents’ Day. The Pakawau committee applied for a special grant towards incidental expenses. A grant of £5 was made. The Police Department reported on damage done to the Waitahu school by rifle lire. The Department is to be thanked fo- its attention to the matter. The tender of Messrs Page and Sons.
