WOMEN’S DIVISION OF FARMERS’ UNION

WAKEFIELD-SPRING GROVE BRANCH The monthly meeting of the Wakc-field-Spi'ing Grove branch of the W D. F.U. was held at Spring Grove, there being a fair attendance of members. Notice was received concerning the visit to Nelson, of Mrs Drake, Dominion President and the arrangements were made for members to attend the meetings to be held in her honour. It was decided to levy a subscription of threepence per member for the Housekeeper’s Mutual Benefit Fund. Preliminary arrangements were made in connection with a Children’s Christ rnas party. At the conclusion of the business a most interesting and instructive demonstration of wreath-making was given by Mrs D. Stringer. The monthly competition: School lunch for October, was won by Mrs G.
