i j JUNIOR In the junior cricket the match play- . ed at Riwaka betwen High School and Riwaka was won by the latter by 133 runs on the first innings. For the winners R. Reed gave a bright display for a score of 82, while R. Smith with 22 lopped the list for school. Among the bowlers C. Reeves obtained the best average, taking three wickets for five runs. At Lower Moutere, Brooklyn beat Tui by nine wickets and 23 runs. C. Atkins retired 33, J. Young 26, and R. Fell 24 led the batting, and, among the bowlers, J. Young took four wickets for six runs. The match Motueka versus Whakarewa played at Motueka was won by the former by an innings and seven runs. The main contributors for the winners were K. Masters 36 and G. Ryder 29.
