WHERE THE MONEY WENT £235,000 FOR RELIEF FUNDS ANNUAL REPORT OF DEPARTMENT [From Our Own Parliamentary Reporter] WELLINGTON, This Day. The finances of the principal gold art unions authorised by the Minister of Internal Affairs, F -> Hon. W. E. Parry, are disclosed in the annual report of the Department tabled in the House by Mr Parry to-dp.y. There were eleven of these r't unions. The gross returns from ticket sales amounted to £224,657. Out of this sum came £33.698 in commissions. £32,537 in expenses. £55,000 fur prizes and £22.465 lottery duty, leaving a net profit for distribution for relict of distress of £80,955.
