The thirteenth annual pilgrim i-2 > f Auckland citizens was made to-day to the graveside of New Zealand’s first Governor. Captain William Hobson, who was laid to ~est in the Symonds Street Cemetery 95 years ago. Fitting homage was paid by a large gathering, including many school children, 25 of whom laid wreaths on the grave. An appropriate feature was the attendance of an escort of Royal Marines, a bugler sounding the “Last Post” during the ceremony.
