WORLD-RADIO CONVENTION

CELEBRATION IN SYDNEY Good progress is being made with llte organisation of the world-radio convention which is to be held in Sydney next year in conjunction with the 150th anniversary celebrations. The arrangements are in charge of the Institute of Radio Engineers (Australia), with the official recognition of the Government. Subject to the requirements of the international convention at Cairo, Sir Noel Ashbridge, chief engineer of the 8.8. C., will be one of the visitors. Colonel Angwin, chief engineer of the Britisii Post Office, is also expected, as well as leading engineers from Holland, America and Japan. The Wireless Institute of Australia is co-operating, and will hold its Federal convention in Sydney at the same time.
