NELSON LADIES’ GOLF CLUB
ALL DAY TOURNAMENT i The all-day tournament was played I by the Nelson Ladies’ Golf Club under [(perfect golfing conditions and was thorjoughly enjoyed by all. A peculiar I phase in the day’s play was that there j-was a tie in every event. | In the handicap medal match held in the morning in the senior division Miss J. Betts with 75-2—73 and Mrs Dodson with 87-14—73 tied; and in the junior division Mrs Mitchell with 98-26 —72 and Miss M. Kain with 1108-36—72 tied. In the four-ball bogey tin the afternoon Mrs Cock and Mrs H. Leggatt and Mrs Green and Miss R. Moore tied with 1 up; and Mrs Green and Mrs McMorland tied with a 15 for 9 holes. All the ties will be played off in conjunction with the medal match next Tuesday with the exception of the fourball bogey match which goes to Mrs Cock and Mrs H. Leggatt in the count back. The trophy for this event will be donated by Mrs C. Milner and w.ill be presented on closing day.
