DRAMA LEAGUE
AWARDS AT HAWERA I B.v Telegraph - Press Association) HAWERA, 10th September. “The 300th Performance,” presented by the Napier Repertory Players, and "A Privy Council,” by the Palmerston North Little. Theatre Society, were two plays selected by the Drama League adjudicator, Miss Elizabeth Loc. from the North Island elimination festival, which concluded at Hawera last night, to compete with the South Island finalist at Rotorua for the New Zealand championship of amateur dramatic art. Eight other teams presented plays which won respective area festiIvals. They are the Avon Players (Rotorua), Hawera Apollo Players (South Taranaki), Repertory Society (Wanganui).
