LOiAL NELSON LODGE Tiie Loyal Nelson Lodge held its fortnightly meeting when a very large attendance ot members and visitors attended. it being the occasion of the official visit of the Loyal Howard Lodge. The following officers presided: NG. Sis A. Russell, I P.N.G. Bro. G Coleman (acting) VG. Bro. R. Coleman, ES " : s D Bright. F.S Bro M. L. Anderson. Guardian Bro. A Prebble. Warden Bro B Austin. After the correspondence had been read and sick claims passed for payment, one new member was initiated. Bro. E Curry acting as conductor After the ceremony tiie new member was accorded the honours of the Order Several other items of business having been discussed, the N G of the Loyal Howard Lodge Bro. C. Parsons, called upon D.G.M. Bro. C. Hammond to present to Sis Mcllardy of the Howard Lodge, a travel’mg rug in token of the esteem in which she and her husband have been held. Sis. McHardy is going to South Africa to join her husband DG.M. Bro. Hammond spoke of the regret with which he said good-bye and the pleasure of being able to show his appreciation and the appreciation of the Lodges of the services rendered by Bro. and Sis McHardy Bro Scott answered on behalf of Sis. McHardy. At 9 15 the N G. closed the lodge, when the social committee dispensed a dainty supper to members. after which a dance was held, the music being supplied by Mr Harold Williams. Bro G. Coleman acted as M C.
