Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated 9th September, giving North Island frozen meat quotations as follows;—Down lambs, 28-361 b 7 7-8 d per lb, 36-42 73d; crossbred lambs, 2836 7 7-Bd, 36-42, second quality lambs, average 30-31, 7Jd; wethers, under 481 b 6d, 48-56 5 3-Bd, 56-64 sjd, 64-72 5 l-8d; ewes, under 481 b 4 I-Bd, 48-56 3 7-Bd, 56-64. 33d. 64-72 3 5-Bd. New Zealand prime ox beef, 160-220 Sjd. Compared with last week’s quotations, crossbred lamb l-8d per lb higher; second quality lamb l-8d per lb higher; 64-721 b l-8d per lb lower; ewes under 481 b l-8d per lb higher; 56-641 b l-8d per lb higher. Other unchanged. The market continues firm.
