TRANS-PACIFIC FARES AFFECTED

A cable to the local agents of the Canadian Australasian Line stated that these fares would also apply to 'he Trans-Pacific 'nos between New Zealand and North America. The fares between New Zealand and Australia are not affected The New Zealand Shipping Company stated that the increase which will operate in all major British lines trading bet .ce- the United Kingdom and New Zealand will apply to all classes, and any passengers booked after 10th September for sailings after Ist October, will pay the new rates. Those passengers who have already paid deposits will be booked at the old rates, and those .o have reservations, but have not yet paid deposits, will have the benefit of the old rates provided the deposits are paid before 11th October.
