Egmont and the Southern Alps resorts there will soon be gatherings of young people intent on this newest of New Zealand’s national sports. There is a thrill about speeding across the snow that has no equal, and on a pleasant skiing day there is a tang about the air and a spirit of camaraderie about the skiers that gives the cream of zest to life.
