REDWOOD’S VALLEY BRANCH At the June meeting jf the Redwood’s Valley branch of the W.D.F.U., Mrs J. L. Brown presided over a good attendance of members and also welcomed Mesdames Hockey and Cross, visitors from the Richmond branch The forthcoming fair, in aid of the W.D. Executive funds, to be held at Wakefield, was discussed and members were asked for donations of produce or articles suitable for sale at the stalls. A letter was read regarding the Girls' Educational Week and it was decided to nominate two junior members to attend. The appeal for books and donations for the library was well responded, to, and the branch has now
a good-selection of books and maga zincs.
The roll call, “Something nice that you know about the person sitting on your right,” was well responded to, ihe complimentary remarks creating a happy atmosphere among those present. Mrs Hockey gave a very interesting and helpful talk on the Women’s Creed, at the conclusion of which Mrs Callaghan expressed pleasure and appreciation on behalf of members. The visitors kindly consented to judge the competitions, the results being as follows:
