MEMBERSHIP DRIVE IN PROGRESS ACTIVITY IN NELSON AND MARLBOROUGH Mr K. J. Holyoake, who represents the Nelson and Marlborough provinces on tiie Dominion Executive Committee of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, ha 3 completed a tour of the Pelorus Sounds and Marlborough as well as having addressed several meetings in the Nelson province in connection with the “membership drive” being held by the Union. Mr Holyoake reports that he has found a very marked awakening of interest and activity in the Union’ throughout, nod also, that in the canvassing for new members, so far as it lias been enrri id at the moment, there have been practically no refusals, every farmer realising that he, as Well ns other secti-ul-i, must he thoroughly organised so that his voice may he heard among those of other Highly and often compulsory, organised sections of the people.
