OBITUARY

MRS MARY WHITE

Mrs Mary White whose death occurred recently, was married to Mr Chas. White, 48 years ago. The late Mrs White was the eldest daughter of the late Mr Matthew Hargreaves, and was born in Nelson in 1866, where she lived most of her life. Mrs White leaves a husband, Mr Chas. White, two sons and one daughter, Mr Frank and Mr Jim White, and Mrs lan Paterson, Nelson. The funeral, which took place at the Nelson Cemetery, was largely attended, the Dean of Nelson, the Very Rev. P. B.' Haggitt, conducting the service both at the home and at the graveside. The pall bearers were the four nephews, Messrs 'C„ A., T„ and H. Hargreaves,M. I. Paterson, son-in-law, and Mr J. Logan. The great number of beautiful wreaths were an indication of the high esteem in which deceased was held.
