MINOR DAMAGE CAUSED FERRY SERVICE CANCELLED (United Press Association-By Electrio Telegraph-Copyright! SYDNEY, 20th June. Sydney was lashed at the week-end by a gale accompanied by heavy rain, 534 points having fallen since Thursday evening. Between 9 a.m. yesterday artd 9 o’clock to-night, 4 inches Were recorded. The wind to-day reached 56 miles an hour, cousing minor damage. The Manly ferry service had to be cancelled owing to high seas.
