KING GEORGE V. FUND
£SOO FROM GOLFERS The Council of the New Zealand Golf Association to-day forwarded to the Acting-Prime Minister, the Hon. P. Fraser, a cheque for £SOO being the amount collected for the King George V Memorial Fund as the result of an appeal made to the men’s clubs by the Council of the New Zealand Golf Association and to the ladies’ clubs by the New Zealand Ladies’ Golf Union. It is probable that further contributions will come to hand, and, if so, these will be sent in at a later date. It should also be mentioned that some of the affiliated clubs have advised the Association that they had handed over the amounts collected by them to the local funds in their respective areas.
