MEETING OF N.Z. UNION MR WALSH ELECTED GENERAL SECRETARY [United Presß Association) WELLINGTON. This Day. The result of the recent ballot for the position ot general secretary to the Federated Cooks’ and Stewards’ Union of New Zealand was announced at a meeting of the Union last night, the successful candidate being Mr W. P. Walsh. The other candidate was Mr A. E. Hardymant. The voting resulted: Mr Walsh 906; Mr Hardymant 7. Majority for Mr Walsh, 899.
