Immediate acti m is necessary, as entries must reach the Secretary not later than Monday next, 10th May, and exhibits staged Thursday, 13th May. This competition should be won by Nelson therefore, would interested growers communicate with their Orchard Instructor immediately and submit their entries for forwarding to Show Society. Providing exhibits are delivered to this Office by mid-day, Monday next, we shall be pleased to assist competitors by arranging special transport to the Show to ensure that the exhibits will arrive in best possible condition, also to arrange for the necessary staging and subsequent sale of exhibits, the proceeds of sale to be used to defray transport costs, etc., the surplus to be rebated to the growers concerned.
