FURTHER DETAILS I B.v Telesrraph I’i-pp? Ao=nnir.tion I CHRISTCHURCH. This Day. It is understood that Miss Josephine Helen McPherson shot herself in an office in the city. She was employed byMr J. K. Moloney. The bullet, although it lodged near the heart, did not strike' a vital organ, but caused internal hemorrhage, which led to her death almost 12 hours later. Miss McPherson apparently made her way home without mentioning her action to anyone. Dr. Bakewell was summoned to Miss McPherson’s home at 2.30 o’clock on Saturday morning as soon as her parents had learned what had happened. Dr. Bakewell immediately sent for an ambulance. The young woman was rush-, ed to hospital, but it was then too late; for anything to be done. . •
Detectives from the Central Police 1 Station began investigations as soon as they were advised of the case, but the! circumstances are not considered to be] suspicious. The rifle that was used has’ been found by the police.
