SUTER ART SOCIETY
MEETINGS FOR DISCUSSION At a committee meeting of the Suter Art Society, Professor Tennant was in the chair, and eight members of the committee were present. A scheme was outlined by Mr W. H. Allen for members of the Society to meet in the interest of art. After discussion it was resolved “that honorary and working members meet once a month during the winter months for the purpose of discussion, criticism and demonstration of art. The first meeting to be held on the first Friday in May (7th May) at 7.30 p.m. in the Institute rooms.’’ All members of the Society are invited to be present, the subject for the opening night to be “The Importance of Subject in Art” led by Mr Allen. The idea behind these meetings, is that by exchange of ideas, members may attain a higher standard of work.
