BRIGHTWATER SHOW
BEAUTIFUL DISPLAY OF FLOWERS SMALL SHOW OF FRUIT The Brightwater Show was held yesterday and to-day. As usual the display was very encouraging. The only weakness was in the fruit. Although Brightwater is in an apple exporting district the growers were too busy to make more than a dozen entries. Th« cut blooms suffered to a certain extent with frost, but the hydrangeas alone were wonderful. Pot plants, all local and shown by four growers, were very beautiful. The chrysanthemums, mainly from town, were a show in themselves.
The stalls for the ladies’ work and household were very fine indeed. Altogether the show quite maintained its old and well established record. To-night Mrs Bush’s orchestra will again be present.
