CORONATION CELEBRATIONS
ARRANGEMENTS IN NELSON UNITED SERVICE AND PUBLIC CEREMONY On Coronation Day a united church service will be held in the Cathedral, and a public function will take place at the Church Steps during the morning. The details of the morning arrangements are as follows: 9.45 a.m. In the Cathedral. A united service of prayer and thanksgiving. 10.30 a.m. at the Church Steps: Introductory address by his Worship ic Mayor. National Anthem. Address by Mr H Atmore, M.P. Military Ceremonial. Royai Salute. Feu-de-joie. Royal Salute. Cheers lor Their Majesties, led by Colonel Hume. National Anthem. Return of Regimental Colour to Cathedral and march-off of troops In the afternoon special sports programmes will be held including a combined function at Trafalgar Park, when a professional wrestling bout and Rugby football will be staged A suitable public entertainment for the evening is also being arranged.
