Proof that screen teams do survive: Clark Gable and Joan Crawford were first teamed by M-G-M five years ago in “Possessed.” They have started on their fifth film together—“ Love On the Run.” Since “Possessed” they have appeared together in “Forsaking All Others,” “Dancing Lady” and “Chained.” .y. Y 'Y 1 'f “Private Enemy,” the title of the President McKinley film in which Robert Taylor arid Barbara Stanwyck will co-star, has been changed to “This is My Affair.” Y Y Y Y The filming of Mervyn Leßoy's first reduction in the combined 1 capacities of producer and director "The King and the Chorus Girl,” starring the French actor Fernand Gravet, has been completed at the Warner Bros, studios. Joan Blondell has the leading feminine role in the picture, and some of the other principals are Edward Everett Horton, Mary Nash, Alan Mowbray, Luis Alberni, Jane Wyman, Torben Mayer, Lionel Pape, Leonard Mudie and Adrien Rosley. ¥ ■K’ V R.K.O. Radio offered M-G-M over £20.000 for the rights of “Rio Rita.” M-G-M. loked the musical over again, and decided that it would keep and remake it. Y Y Y Y The novels “Of Great Riches” and “The Earl of Chicago,” have been purchased by David O. Selznick for early production by Selznick International, and U-A release. Y Y Y Y William Powell and Myrna Loy are going to appear together again. You’ll never guess in what picture. ’Tis “The Prisoner of Zenda,” adapted by Frederick Lonsdale from the Anthony Hope masterpiece. Y Y ■ Y Robert Montgomery is to be Marion Davies’ leading man in “Ever Since Eve.”

Hollywood is a strange place! Robert Warwick is playing the role of Lord Warwick in “The Prince and the Pauper” for Warners. A few miles away, M-G-M have the real Earl of Warwick in a picture. Y Y Y- Y Joel McCrea, besides playing in “The Woman’s Touch,” has been given the role of the native hero of “Hurricane.” Y Y- Y Y Walter Connolly and Charles Grapewin were Chinamen one morning in M-G-M’s “Tho Good Earth,” and American millionaires that afternoon in the same studio’s “Libelled Lady," with only a half-hour in the make-up department in between to effect the startling change. Y Y Y Y Grace Moore, whose “One Night of Love,” is being revived in the West End of London as the medium for the introduction of a new non-distorting system of sound production, is an authority on intertior decorating, and possesses one of the world’s largest and most complete libraries on the subject. Y Y Y Y “The Prince and the Pauper,” British picture to be released in London and the provinces during Coronation week, is set in the late Tudor period, and actually shows a Coronation scene in Westminster Abbey. Full-size replica of the nave of Westminster Abbey was built for the sequence, and .Miss Hilda Grenier, a former lady-in-waiting to Queen Mary, assisted as technical adviser. Y Y Y Y Ben Heclit is going to England to write the scenario of “Cyrano de Bergerac.” The picture was formerly intended as a Charles Laughton vehicle. Y Y Y Y Leslie Howard and Olivia de Haviland will be co-starred in a comedyromance tentatively entitled “Lover Derby.”
