BOMBING OF GUERNICA 1 INDISCRIMINATE SLAUGHTER OF NON-COMBATANTS DENOUNCED BY LABOUR PARTY [United Press Association—By Electric 'l’elcgraph Oop.vrigh tl (Received 29th April, 10.35 a.m.) LONDON, 28th April. The executive of the British Labour Party passed a resolution that the sufferings of the Spanish people have passed the climax of horror and shame in the criminal bombing of Guernica by German planes under the command of rebel generals, and that British Labour denounces the outrage on defenceless people, for which there is no shadow of military reason or excuse, as an outrage to humanity and violation of the principles of civilisation. The party requests the British Government, through the League of Nations, to examine the whole problem of bombing open towns and the indiscriminate slaughter of non-combatants. MOLA’S THREAT TO RAZE BILBAO UNLESS TOWN SURRENDERS General Mola is reported to have warned the Basque Government that
he will raze Bi'oao unless the town surrenders.
