In the first bout of the Christchuich wrestling season, Hal Rumberg (I6st Gibs) beat Tom Mead (15st 51b) on points, each wrestler securing a fall. Mead took the first fall in the fourth round’ with a body press after a sue cession of flying tackles. Rumberg equalised in the seventh with a body cress after heavy dumps.
