There were full entries in all sections of stock at the Addington market today, and a sound sale for both fat and store sheep resulted. Store ewes fully maintained recent Values tor indifferent quality. Store wethers in forward condition were Is better, some good station lines making from 24s to 26s lOd. Store wether lambs were weaker by up to Is (id a head. The fat lamb sale was the best of the year, and the schedule rate of up to 9Jd for firsts was exceeded. \ Best lambs made from 34s to 425, good 29s to 335, and medium down to 24s
There was another big entry of about 6500 head of fat sheep Good wethers found a keen sale, light sorts being less than store prices, but ewes were up to Is 6d better. Exporters bought ewes freely. Best wethers made 28s fid to 44s for a pen of show wethers, good 26s 6d to 28s; best ewes from 25s lo 31s, good 19s to 245. light down to 15s.
In the lat cattle section 510 were penned, the bulk being of good quality. Good beef maintained recent rates, but indifferent sorts were hard to sell. Extra iyiavy prime steers made £ls 17s 6d. good £lO 5s to Cl 3 10s. ordinary down to £8 10s: best heifers. £7 to £l2 7s 6d, others down lo £4 10s: best cows. £ll 7s (id. others down to £4
In the fat pig section porkers sold better, and bacon rates were unchanged. Choppers made 49s 6d to £4 8s 6d. porkers 48s fid to 52s fid. average price per lb. 53d to 6).d; baconcrs. 50s 6d to £5. average price. sijd to 6d.
